M/I Homes 1st-QTR Loss Narrows
M/I Homes, Inc. (NYSE:MHO), Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday reported a net loss of $8.3 million (-$0.45 per share) for the 2010 first quarter ended March 31, compared to a net loss of $28.1 million, or $2.01 per share during the first quarter of 2009. The 2010 loss included $3.2 million of asset impairments and a $600,000 set-aside for Chinese drywall remediation efforts. . . .

Toxic chinese drywall has ripple effect in real estate market for home buyers and sellers
Aug. 17---- At first glance, it might seem like a good deal, a spacious townhome in Denbigh, 2,200 square feet with three bedrooms and three bathrooms for $217,950. But the home at 1006 Hollymeade Circle has a problem that's not immediately clear to someone browsing homes on the Internet -- toxic Chinese drywall. The listing agent for 1006 Hollymeade Circle, Kevin Pall, said Monday the house shouldn't sell for anywhere near the listing price, because of the presence of Chinese drywall. . . .

M/I Narrows Loss, Orders Rise 36%
M/I Homes Inc., Columbus, Ohio (NYSE:MHO) Thursday reported a net loss of$21.1 million (-$1.14 per share) for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, down from a loss of $58.7 million (-$4.18 per share) in last year's third quarter. The loss included $15.0 million in impairments and a $4.4 million charge related to Chinese drywall. . . .
